Hi Judy ,

Thanks for your prompt reply . I am at rusty starter level ( ordering beer and finding toilets) . I usually use FaceTime or messenger video but I’m sure I can sort out Skype . I still work sometimes so probably after 6 would be ideal for me but it depends how many times a week you think is best...

...

Cheers

Rod

PS . I have done no grammar or any conversation classes , just tried Duolingo which is interesting !! (?)

Cheers

Hi. Thanks for your message. There is no problem to arrange online classes with you or indeed face to face lessons when you are here in Spain. I use Skype primarily for online lessons. Would this be OK for you? What level do you consider that you have? Have you covered aspects of grammar previous...

...ly or had any conversation classes? If you can let me know what days or times are better for you we can arrange a call.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Hi. Sorry, I have just seen your post. I live in Torrevieja very close to the Park of the Naciones and have lived here for 20 years. I am British, speak Spanish fluently and for the last 17 years have taught Spanish on a 1-to-1 or 1-to-two basis. To learn in a class or with private lessons depend...

...s on how you want to learn as there is no doubt that more is learnt in a private class than in a group. I focus very much on speaking but some aspects of the grammar have to be covered, unfortunately, to undestand how to speak correctly. Please get in touch if you are interested. It is definitely worth the effort to learn. Opens many doors!

I would like to learn so speak Spanish. I have never learnt a language before and and being older, I am not very confident.

I come over to La Mata/ Torrevieja for three weeks at a time as I am not a resident.

Next January I aim to be over for three months

Hello. I have received notification from the forum of your message but I am a little confused as it seems to be in response to a message I posted in October last year and mentions coming over to Spain in January. Is this right or is it some mistake? If it is a recent post and you would like to learn Spanish, I would be dleighted to help you. Coukd you please let me know if this is the case. Thanks.

Sorry for the confusion.

I am here in Spain now until July 27th and will be back , hopefully, on September 1st for three weeks.

From mid January 2022 I hope to come for 3 months .

Hope that makes more sense.

Hi Richard. Thanks for your prompt response. Yes, that is clearer now. I just didn't expect to receive any comments relating to my post from last year so that was what confused me a little. Are you referring to lessons online or face-to-face? I live in Torrevieja but  don't have a car so can't get to the Mata unfortunately. Online classes are equally effective but some people prefer face-to-face. Everyone starts from the beginning and a lot of my students have been or are older. We work together at their pace to make sure they understand. I'd be very happy to help you learn. The main thing is the desire. Please let me know if I can help you more in any way.

Thanks for your reply and yes I would really like one to one lessons .

If I can come to you that us not a problem . I don't drive out here but am on a bus route and also enjoy walking .

I am aware that my lessons may be a bit sporadic as I am not here all the time but can do recommended homework and have several Spanish books but have lacked the 'umph' to use them without correction or reason.

It would be good to meet if possible to discuss possibilities and fees . What do you think?
