These are the opening hours. Read the reviews!

I'm from a different municipality and we were given ours at the appointment but this was pre-Covid.

One question, only because you say about visiting Spain, is your main residence in Spain or the UK?

Thank you for the reply but I am in torrevieja and I applied for my padron on 6 jul and had to go to la mata with all docs etc and I am just trying to find how to get a copy. We are applying for residency but still live in uk at the minute but have a property in Spain but cannot get through on email or phone

Hi Mandy, my understanding is that it is illegal to be on the Padron unless your main home is in Spain and you are actually living here. Some municipalities have actively encouraged holiday home owners to register on the Padron because it brings them more funds but then again some municipalities have been heavily fined for doing so.

We even had the local police drive past our villa a few times to check we were actually living here and as we live up a long track with just a couple of Spanish owned villas right out in the Campo it was quite obvious.

Tks for this but it was our Spanish solicitors who told us to apply for our padron and when we went to the town hall, no one mentioned it was illegal. We are going to the consulate soon for non lucrative visa so will check then but tks for replies
