Immigration Lawyer
My wife and I came to Torrevieja on 6th December last year. I am a UK citizen and my wife is a Philippines citizen. My wife had a 3 month visa to enter Spain. We have bought a house here, we both have private health insurance, our NIE certificates and our 'Padron'. We have all the other documentation of income and bank accounts to obtain our 'Residencia'. However, I must obtain my Residencia first, as my wifes application must include a copy of her EU spouses' Residencia. Due to demand, the earliest appointment I can get is the 13th March. At this time we are still unable to make a later appointment for my wife (no appointments available). My wifes' visa will expire on March 6th, after which she will have no legal right to remain in Spain. This is due to no fault of ours, but the fact that we cannot obtain any earlier appointment to apply for our Residence. I desperately need to consult with a lawyer (English speaking) who specializes in immigration matters, who can advise us of my wifes situation. I have been told that my wife may have to leave Spain and return to the Philippines alone, which seems very unfair as we haven't been apart for over 10 years. If anybody can give a suggestion it would be appreciated.
