How long does ist take to receive the spanish NIE? What ist the amount?

If you get an appointment at a National Police station you will get the NIE issued straight away. You complete an EX15, apply for an appointment and then complete a Modelo 790 012 which is the tax for this procedure. The tax is paid at you bank and is currently €9.64 and you take the receipt with you. You can also pay at an ATM if you have a Spanish bank account by scanning the barcode on the 790 012.
