My apartment is in Mar Baltico.  Does anyone else have any issues with safety in this area.  Re my previous post re drilling the lock of my apartment, I have had to replace that lock and have another fitted and an alarm system is being fitted tomorrow.  I am also considering a metal grille door.  I am told there are now robbers, drug dealers and prostitutes working  in this area.  Can anyone else confirm this, please?

For your own piece of mind, have a metal security grill door fitted for security and your own safety, good luck and l hope things get better for you.

Don't overvalue alarm systems. They make a lot of noise and that's it. Once whover is inside your property, you need an eviction order from the local judge.

Securitas Direct have a monitoring center and promise to send police + SD representative on site as soon as they confirm with you that it's not a false alarm. I hope I never get to find out if that promise is true or no.

The okupas issue comes into play after 24 (maybe 48, not sure now) hours. If action is taken before then, they can (and hopefully will) be dealt with as common burglars.
