The 4 years is rolling so I don't really see what "wait 5 years to be on the safe side" means?

It doesn't count if a query is raised in which case there is no limit to how far back the tax man can go.

Yes Darro you are quite correct and I should qualify that the tax office will look back over the previous 4 years. Check it with whoever is lodging the Modelo 210 for you.

Oh I'll just liase with the company and do what they advise is best. Don't want to cut corners best to just get it done and upto date

It happened us some years ago when the company doing our 210 changed their system and our name got deleted in the changeover. By the time I got around to sorting it we owed 3 years but as I recall the penalty interest wasn't a whole lot.

Hello, I was paying a lot of € for Abagados/ Accountants to "process " my Non resident tax  forms for many years, now with the good help from people on here, and the availability to file your taxes online ,I am now completing the non resident tax form online, and going to the  bank when I'm Spain and paying it,simples...
