Hi,

Im in the process of buying a holiday/second home in torrevieja. I read about the taxes, some make sense and one particular one dont make any sense at all. As I understand it there is a tax for letting out your home even if you have no intention of doing so? Is that correct?

Do people actually pay that one? I mean people like me with no interest in letting out?

Regards Kim

Hi Kim

The tax you refer to is payable even if you don’t rent out. I pay mine and have done since I bought the property, not worth getting caught out and paying a fine! The tax isn’t a great deal. The form to complete us Modelo 210. If you use the search facility on this forum and perhaps search non resident tax or Modelo 210 and in the area type everywhere it will bring the posts up,as it has been discussed in depth. I do my own, however this company based in the U.K. will do it for you for around £29.95 that’s per property not per person,so if more than just you on the deeds it’s just the one fee. www.spanishtaxforms.co.uk all done by email extremely efficient.
