Hi, I’ve made the minor payment to Suma, which I believe is for waste removal, on the 3rd Oct via direct debit from a new account. However I don’t recall making the larger payment which I thought was usually paid by direct debit in sept. I’ve recently closed my Sabadell account so can’t look back to see if it was paid earlier.  Can anyone confirm the payment has been taken.
Also I don’t appear to have received the bill this year so as I’ve got no reference I’m struggling to log on to the app to check. I’ll have to phone them if my query can’t be answered. Thanks in advance Jez

My IBI (council tax) bill was taken on the 5th October. If you have online banking you can check back to see if it was taken.

We pay our rubbish collection tax in one payment in about April time.

Hi mine in Torrevieja was taken on 3rd for 21.36€. However the payment I’m missing is the larger one which usually comes in at @150€.

When did you make that payment if you don’t mind me asking?

Hi thanks for the reply. Problem is I’ve recently switched banks so can’t check back on my accounts from my old bank.

We’ve had the property for 20 years but use it as a holiday home. We’ve always just paid everything via direct debit so never really taken that much notice(I know I should’ve been more attentive).

I’m just aware that we always paid a single payment of 100+€ and then a few years ago we starting receiving that bill plus a second bill of 20+€. I’m concerned I we havenpaid the larger bill this year.

Our larger payment was taken on October 3rd.

We don't receive paper statements any more.

That’s what’s concerning, I’m sure we’ve only paid the one payment of 21€ on the 3rd Oct which is about when we get charged 150+€.
We don’t receive paper statements anymore either so I haven’t got a reference number to enter on the system to check. Do you receive an electronic statement as we haven’t received one?

No,nothing at all,we just rely on our bank statements.

That’s reassuring as we don’t receive anything either. The problem is I now have no reference number(CSV) to sign into the app to check my payments. This is compounded by the fact that the second I closed my Sabadell account I lost access to statements that may have shown a payment made earlier in the year. I have a record of the payment made on 3rd oct through Wise records but as I’ve said before it was only 21€ which is a surprisingly small amount.

Generally, the reason people don't get the paper bill from SUMA is because they have registered someone as their financial adviser such as a solicitor. If the solicitor made the initial application and set up the direct debit then the request goes to them. Even my income tax goes through them but I do get an advice of payment from the bank.

I get no notification for IBI, rubbish collection or even annual car tax as SUMA has the solicitors I have on retainer as my adviser and sends them all to them. I just pay through my bank account. If I want a copy I have to ask my solicitor for one.

If you wish to receive the bills yourself then you have to inform SUMA of that fact and that you no longer want your adviser to receive them.
