If you're resident and on the Iberdrola night plan, I doubt you'd make any significant saving by switching suppliers.

You could try running some figures through the following price comparison website:

If you see a potential saving, then look for more detail on the relevant company website.

There are but be careful. Some of them last less than a one-day-fly and you can be left on your own.

Are energy prices for residents different from non-residents ?

You aren't charged for the swap from dumb to smart meter. You'll still be charged a minimal amount for meter rental. In our case that is less than we paid for the old one.
