Is anyone else getting charged extra €50 on top of your electric bill a month

Hi Mags,
Are you talkihg about the gas surcharge? It won't necessarily be €50 for everyone, as the surcharge is based on the amount of electricity you use. It confused many people when it was first introduced because most of us don't have a gas supply to our properties. However, the surcharge was introduced by the Spanish government and applied to consumers´ bills, from May 2022 until May 2023, to cover the losses incurred by the gas companies on the cost of the gas used to generate electricity. It should appear on your electricity bill as something like, "Tope precio del gas RDL".
