Covid related rent arrears
Hi All
Can anyone please advise what the procedure is in Spain with the following circumstances:
I have rented my flat long term, the tenants have been there more than 3 years and are still only paying the amount that was agreed 3 and a half years ago due to lack of info on new law from my selected agent until it was too late for action.
I am aware that due to the covid situation, work in hotels has dried up but I haven’t received any rent since February 2020 and the only communication I have received is
‘Well you know the situation’.
What are other landlords doing in this situation?. I accept this is a genuine crisis situation but I feel disappointed at the lack of concern and no plan of action for the future from the tenants ?
