A lovely Ukranian lady living in Villajoyosa needs work to help feed her 2 teenage daughters and is prepared to ~ in her words, "work in the garden or around the house (clean the terrace, wash the windows, etc).

If anybody could give her any hours she would be really grateful. In Ukraine, before the war, she was a solicitor but fled when the bombs started falling in her town, driving 8 days to Alicante with her two young daughters. When she got to Alicante, the promised accommodation did not exist. Her husband is obviously not allowed to leave Ukraine. Her situation is unimaginable.

Please contact me if you can offer her any hours. She is most definitely not a scrounger!!!

Regards, Francesca.

Hello Jonathan

Thank you for your reply but sadly you are too far away to help this family. This lady needs work in or near Villajoyosa where we live. She has lived in our little house since the war forced her from her home in Ukraine and I vouch for her. She is a very decent person and wants to support herself and her girls without having to accept too much charity.

I hope that you are also able to help a Ukranian family.

Regards Francesca.

I believe the Spanish Government has plans in place to retrain Ukranian refugees in hospitality work where there are known shortages. It may be best for this lady to speak to the appropriate immigration liaison officers in your area.

Thank you John. I am a bit out of my depth here!
