I'm sure you must realise that Benidorm and local area is in a very dire predicament regarding jobs and unemployment!

There are hundreds upon hundreds of people been made redundant or been sacked/furloughed because of the Covid problem and many businesses including bars and hotels are virtually bankrupt and some have not reopened since the lockdown.

Are you fully legal in Spain and do you speak Spanish?  I think your only option is to get your walking boots on and take your CV to places you would like to be employed. Otherwise you will be in a very long queue.

Alright no need for sarcasm. Yes I am a resident and I have put on my “‘walking boots “ and looked. But nothing. Thanks love

This is aimed at both of you but i couldnt just post with a quote for some reason.

Normally when people leave comments like both of these i stay well clear and dont get involved but this time i thought my advice may help you both.

Amber i don't believe for one second that tebo was being sarcastic, he was only stating the obvious. I have my own business which is earning zero money because of this pandemic. I respect the fact that you must ask because you may get lucky. I thought your question was very fair and came across friendly, thinking when things pick up again i maybe able to help you, however your reply was not acceptable and im sure that if another employer saw that he/she would have the same opinion and wouldn't consider you. Please be careful on how you respond because you never know who is reading.

Things when wrote down aren't always interpreted the correct way and some people are more direct than others which can come across as offensive.

You're welcome but i do see why she was upset, i think the walking shoes part did come across wrong and would annoy alot of people who are maybe in a desperate need for a job.

I've used the "walking shoes" additive many times over the years of giving advice on this site and never before had that reaction. Its a  commonly used additive but I suppose many people nowadays get easily offended. If that is the case then I apologise to the OP.

I agree with you, thats why i stood up for you because her reaction to me if an employer seen that would immediately dismiss any chances of employing her. But in writing and face to face can be very different, even when talkin with family/friends. It good you apologized, ut shows everyone that, as i would say.... "a canny lad" means a nice lad in geordie lol.
