Hi.
Can anyone recommend a decent bank please to open an account with. Completing on a property in October and will just need an account for the basics (utility direct debits, etc and for holiday funds etc ). Close to la Fuente area please. Reviews I have seen on Sabadell are dreadful but not sure if they relate to a specific branch. Thanks

I've been with Sabadell for 8 years and have been very happy with their services.
I've seen bad reviews for all banks over the last year or so. Its each to their own!

Yes the online banking app is virtually all you need to do all everyday banking. Both myself and my wife use the banking app and very rarely need to go into the branch.

I would say just open a ‘Wise’ account. I pay all my utilities through that with no charges. There money exchange rate is had to beat as well. You get a Belgian IBAN which you can use to set everything up in Spain.

I also have a Wise account that I use to transfer money from my Barclays account in the UK to my Sabadell account. It takes just seconds to transfer. Highly recommended.

No. It’s basically an on-line bank account. Because it’s based in Belgium it’s ideal for using in Spain since brexit.

I have been banking with Sabadell for about 5 years and can do everything I need online from the UK, so no complaints.
