...’ve read on here that hospitals are sending uk patients to private hospitals . I needed emergency dental treatment last year and mistakenly used a private clinic ( it had been recommended by our landlord and was the nearest) with my EHIC card and the uk authorities would not pay out. Also covid is only spread by people . People don’t do it deliberately but they are highly infectious for 2 weeks before symptoms appear. The reason the cases are so catastrophic at the moment is that people are travelling when they have been told to stay at home. The UK is on lockdown at the moment for a reason, the same reason that Spain has banned travel .

This ban on travel to second homes was during the March lock down.
