No.

The restrictions say that you should only leave home for reasons which are essential or unavoidably necessary and be it 'nipping' or not there can be no possible way for a trip out simply to buy a newspaper to fall within that.

Are you not getting it yet, the restrictions are in place there for the protection of ALL and that includes YOU so please do the responsible thing and observe them.

I totally agree, stay home. You have a laptop, iPad, phone you can get the newspapers on them.

What an idiot this person is!!!!!?

Is that a wind up. You obviously have a computer so get the news from that and dont put yourself and others at risk.If the police or Guarda stop you and you tell them you are going for a paper you will be fined.

Unfortunately I think this is a wind up as I dont believe anyone is that stupid or maybe Im wrong .There are armchair keyboard bandits on this site and others whose aim in life is to post something just to wind people up instead of using the site for its intended purpose of us all helping each other.

Rather inconsiderate, having a dog, or a car, gas at home instead of electric, a bank account instead of online finance, those who smoke, venture out for alcoholic beverages, (Do you really want that chocolate?), launderette rather than buying a washing machine or doing it in the sink, "nipping-out" for bottled water (drink it from your tap!), repairing your computer, Do you need that birthday card, delivered at the post office. That packet of asprin at the chemist? The vet, or buying cat´s food! No! How inconsiderate. Eat less, you should have stocked up, or have it delivered.

Or better, comply with the law, protect yourself & others, avoid others at a reasonable distance, and use common sense.

"comply with the law, protect yourself & others"

Does that mean you're revising your original reply of "yes"?
