Hi,

Has anyone used the pharmacy at La Fuente for a COVID test in order to fly back to the UK, and if so, how much was it and what was the booking process? I would want a test around the 12th August so is it recommended to book in advance or could I just walk in.

Thanks in advance.

I have mine booked in there for Saturday, its €130. Go in and make an appointment as soon as possible as they were fully booked a week in advance!

Really? For an antigen test? Thought they were costing around 40 euros

It was for a PCR test which I think was the only one they were doing and what they recommend. If you have more time maybe shop around or check online who else might do them cheaper?

It would be a good idea to get your test booking sorted pretty much as soon as you get there, then you can relax and enjoy your stay.

Btw, I know of someone who had an antigen test in La Fuente, not sure what they paid though.

I used IMED in Torrevieja for my antigen test last month, it is behind the Habaneras Centre, I booked on-line, cost 40euro. Antigen is a accepted test for return to the UK. If you want a PCR test specifically they do one for 110euro.

Which ever clinic or pharmacy you choose it is best to book in advance as they seem to be getting filled up quickly..

Try DAM health at Cabo Roig.  They do PCR tests for about 99€ and Antigen tests for 39€.  You only need an antigen test and you book on-line.

Dam health are not accepting bookings due to a ' flood ' strong rumours circulating that they do not have the correct license to operate.

Hi Aitch,

Thanks for that. We have a 13 year old non jabbed child with us so I am guessing he will need a PCR test rather than antigen?

Hi,

the UK Gov website advises that a antigen test is sufficient for returning from the UK, it does not say that children (11 to 17)  must have a PCR test. Children do need to take a PCR day 2 test when back in the UK.
