Can I ask please, where the taxi rank at Alicante airport is please? Is it with the buses?

Hi a great app for your phone Is Flightradar24. Download it, just put flight number in and you can basically keep an eye on your flight on the way into Alicante thus you can time your arrival at the airport and taking into account bag pick up bein situ with less waiting time..... it’s what I do and works a treat

I also watch live flight arrivals. I budget for about 30 mins clearance time. If they have to wait a bit it’s not life threatening, they can always have a coffee and a fag with the other gaspers.

Clearance times may take longer after Boris exit. Baggage reclaim is separate for non EU arrivals and we might get the ‘’what are you here for’’ treatment.

Another option is to take the N340 off the big airport roundabout and there are numerous cafes in Torrellano where you can sit in comfort while waiting for their call. If you ask them to go right to the lowest floor and walk across the area where all the package transfer coaches park up and walk towards the entrance to the multi story car park you can pick them up easily and drive straight back out again.

Perfect for me I live 10 mins away so they just call me when they're out and I'm there

Sorry Bob, what do you mean by genuine people struggling to get their car in please? Not sure whose post you are replying to.

Well.....there are a number of people who, for some reason, feel that using the airport car park is too much trouble or damaging to their financial wellbeing so they park and wait for their family or taxi fares in the departures car park. This takes up parking space such that I have struggled to pull in to drop off my friends or family.....often having to double park with all the safety implications that it entails.

Don't advise people to do this because the costs of the proper arrivals car park are very reasonable.

If it was my post, I can see where I didn't explain things fully. I didn't mean to suggest that the person to be picked up stand in the entrance to the car park nor to park the car in the entrance, but if you drive just past it, you are not blocking anyone and as the person would be there waiting anyway....... I have seen others parked within the actual entrance but they have never impeded my own access. I did this as a one-off just before last Christmas when the drone was at Gatwick and after all the uncertainty and delays we just wanted to get our daughter home but having parked in the car park every other time, it is obvious how many other people do this.

I think we are talking about different car parks because you can't get into the main car park without taking a ticket at the barrier and then paying at the machines so if someone is in a car park space they will have paid.
