.. The usual thing in a forum; I do so dislike the acerbic nature they seem to sometimes encourage. Some bods seem to be forever on standby to be 'rattled.' But never silently, discreetly, I note. The Mock Outrage Fraternity?

Odd, really. Regrettable, certainly.

It was indeed a reasonable question.

For my own reassurance, I boil tap water, let it cool and then chill it as drinking water. That won't typically change any 'elemental' taste differences (a retired chemist guest advised me) but it does, at the least, offer yours truly the reassurance that there are likely no nasty bugs living in it from thereon.

It's the local pipes to the property I have the least faith in, actually!

Hope helps.

Be kind!

Let's drink to that, at least

Hi

Just wondered whether tap water in Villamartin is ok to drink and if people do drink it and it’s ok taste wise ?

Thanks

It's safe to drink, but tastes disgusting. Nothing would persuade me to drink the tap water wherever I lived. Evian is my 2nd choice Hildon my first but cant get that in Spain.

Thank you for your kind reply. It’s a shame isn’t it.

Again, I repeat, the terrible taste which puts us all off for years is removed by storing it in a 6/8ltr bottle with the lid off for 24-36 hours. The plastic waste always made me feel guilty along with the lugging of heavy bottles from the supermarket. So I was pleased to ditch both by leaving the lid off for 24 hours and thus removing the unpleasant taste. Don’t take my word for it though. Try it for yourself.
