The Hens Teeth in Villamartin Plaza is one of the best authentic Spanish restaurants but check if they're open at the moment. Also Los Cucalos. There are lots of amazing places to eat in nearby San Miguel too.

Hi we are coming over to Spain end of

February. Does anyone know of any good places to eat in Villa Martin area. Have been to the Fairway enjoyed it there.

Thanks Rick

jFor the absolute best Indian meal around Punjabi Palace at Lomas De Cabo Roig, a little more expensive but superb food.

Restaurant Gran China near Los Dolses

If they are open El Mason Prado local Spanish restaurant in San Miguel great value menu del dia (served in the evening) Also in San Miguel, Dona Isabella another reasonably priced nice Spanish restaurant.

Ring either restaurant to check open times during off season.

Ian 😎

Hi Rick,

there are not many in the Plaza that I use now, i'd recommend The Copper Chimney for Indian.

Just down the road from VM Plaza, In Los Dolses Rioja Centre I'd highly recommend Quisine (british/international) and O'Sole Mio (Italian). Also worth a visit are Gran China and  Miss Asia (both Chinese/Thai food) and Mateos (Italian).

I've been to all of the above and enjoyed the food. O'Sole Mio is closed at the moment, open again from tomorrow.

They are about a 10 minute walk from the Plaza.

Aitch.

Until recently I would have agreed with you about Quisine we have had many good meals here, but they have not changed the menu for a long time, I feel we have now run the gamut of their menu. For those who are visiting for holidays its perfectly ok but for those of us who live here its become very samey.

Last week The Hens teeth were closed looked like they were having a refurb. Nothing in the window to say when they would be open again.

Hi,

your probably right. We tend to be over for about 5 weeks at a time and would visit Quisine probably 3 to 4 times in the 5 weeks, so for us the menu is fine. By the way, we wanted to go there last Saturday evening (12th Feb) and could not get a table, must be the half-term visitors.

Have you found anywhere else that is a similar standard to Quisine in the area?

Hi, the best Indian meal we have found is at Foodway El Galan certainly the best Tikka I have tasted. Decent size portions, tasty sauces not just hot or hotter to differentiate. Staff very friendly and attentive.

Tried other places but always return to Foodway .
