   Just down the road from VM Plaza, In Los Dolses Rioja Centre I'd highly recommend Quisine (british/international) and O'Sole Mio (Italian). Also worth a visit are Gran China and  Miss Asia (both Chinese/Thai food) and Mateos (Italian).

I've been to all of the above and enjoyed the food. O'Sole Mio is closed at the moment, open again from tomorrow. 

They are about a 10 minute walk from the Plaza.

If you like street food Varrk is good, they also do a great brunch they are on the corner in La Fuentes opposite Aldi.

Another hidden gem if you want a good breakfast or something different for lunch there is Hjartat in La Fuentes centre, if you go up the stairs by Isabellas Hjartat are in the corner just look for the flags. They open from 8.30am for breakfast.

     I think you will be able to find Quisine from TP20's response, on the same level and very close to O'Sole Mio. I would recommend booking a table if you are going to try there on Friday or Saturday.
