Hi does anyone know if we can get bottled water delivered?. I have registered on the Mercadona delivery but they don’t do water.
Any suggestions would be great as we don’t have a car at the moment so difficult to get

I have seen vans around from water delivery companies- I would assume they are the ‘large’ water-cooler type bottles for offices etc. It may be worth you looking them up online, sorry, can’t remember the name, but its better than nothing!

I disagree - Mercadona do deliver water as well as everything else:
https://www.telecompra.mercadona.es/ns/principal.php
Click Beverages, then Water, then Non-carbonated, and you get the full list.
If you're using Google Chrome, then you may have to try a few times, as the website uses Java, which Chrome doesn't like. If you use Firefox, then you shouldn't have a problem.
You can also use the Mercadona app on a mobile device.

Why not invest in a water filter? We have had one for 14 years now and wouldn't dream of lugging big bottles of water into our house.

Hi
I like you got sick of lugging 6ltr bottles of water home.
I have had a water filter system installed. Its great drink straight from tap if you want. Or i fill bottle from tap and put in fridge.
Mine cost €180 to supply and fit. I used Aqualyze 681 315 659.
My friend got hers from Leroy Merlin and her son put it in. Said really easy to do yourself.
As there are only 2 of us we need filtres changed once a year.
Best money ive spent.
Regards Cathie

I agree that a water filter is the best solution, and is kinder to the environment than buying bottled water, but I've never got around to fitting one.
One of the reasons, apart from the mañana syndrome, is that I like the isometric exercise of decanting 8 litre bottles into 1.5 litre bottles. I even use the 8 litre bottles as dumbbells for a bit of strength building exercise from time to time.

The water where I live is drinkable. Why not have yours tested at the Ayuntamiento? If its OK then save yourself a lot of problems and money.

Water is drinkable it is tested to the same standard as UK water under EU legislation.
