Hi (The Rover)
Sorry about delay, don't know where block 6, we are on Calle Tomas Breton, in an apartment there. As mentioned in the last message, we are coming out on the 9th July to pick up the keys from estate agents in Villamartin Plaza, do you live in Las Violetas? We are just looking for a lift from Alicante that morning.

Hi Tony,
We only come out during the winter, and possibly a bit of Autumn and Spring if our apartment is free. My wife can't handle the Spanish sun of the summer. There is a 50% chance we purchased through the same agents Adam and Mark in Vista Casa of Villamartin.
The block numberings in Las Violetas don't make a lot of sense. Block 6 is next to Drivers pub in Calle Tomas Breton. I think the next block down is block 2 though.
If you need picking up fro the airport, the managing agents of my property can arrange that for you.
Regards
Greg

There is a small car sales showroom opposite the plaza near Nan Kin Chinese restaurant. They do car hire there.

Hello Everyone,
I'm already impressed with the administration of the forum and Forum Administrator Alex has suggested I post here to begin with. As such, and I hope you don't mind, I've cut and pasted a reply I posted elsewhere.
My name is Pete and I'm married and in my late 50's (how time flies) and we live in Derbyshire. It's early days doing our research on the Costa Blanca but retirement beckons and we hope to live in your area sometime for part of the years to come in the future. Meanwhile, if you still reading, here's that post I mentioned earlier:-
I'm attracted to this forum since myself and wife have seen favourable UK programs on Villamartin and Torrevieja recently. Notably A Place In The Sun (Channel 4 -I can post the series and episode numbers if required).
We hope to come out to the area in November and get a feel for the place and consider it for a retirement option for part of the year. So many, many things to think about. Not least such items as Brexit, Sterling, airport transfers, location, property, healthcare, nightlife, daytime activities, pensions, winter weather etc. I'm sure many inhabitants have gone through this enterprise process and I'm happy to read the forum and any comments and advice that is given. Of the short list I mentioned Brexit is possibly the biggest for me and I suspect that the delay in providing certainty must be having an effect on sales and purchases of property.
Anyhow, thanks for reading. I'm about to dive headlong into reading the other posts and take it from there in the next few weeks. I've already discovered on these pages that buses don't appear to link to Alicante Airport. So I'm learning already!
