Hi, I have recently had the Suma authorities try to bill me for Suma tax for the 2020/21 & 2021/22 periods for a property in Florida Golf, Villamarttin that I used to own in 2009. Suma is trying to bill for the parking space in the garage linked to said property. My dad who lives in Villamrtin found this out when he tried to renew his Padron as my name is also linked to his own house. I need to prove to the Suma authorities that  I no longer own the property. However, as I no longer have the paperwork as it's been such a long time I don't know how to do this. Can someone please advise which notary or land registry relevant to the Villamrtin area I would need to contact to assist with this? Thank you for your help. Dominic

Just stop the affected payment(s). Suma is no authority, only a debt collector w/o any executive power.

Hi Killjoy,

Suma payments were stopped in 2009 when I offloaded the property. However, they seem to think I still own the parking space when clearly I don't. I really want to sort this out and prove that I am no longer the owner. So in order to do this do I contact a notary or a land registry? I live in the UK so not familiar with the Spanish way of doing things. Regards, Dominic

Hi Dominic

I wonder if a chat with Suma would solve this without all the land registry stuff ?

Try this number in working hours to be attended to in English, wait for the prompt.

0034 965 292 000

If it would be expensive for you to ring Spain you could buy a one month Lebara sim card which includes 100 International minutes, the sim costs £5.
