Two overnights Hotel, one on the Spanish border at Irun very good and welcoming including fine continental breakfast... the town itself was surprisingly busy and virtually face mask free ditto France.

hello everyone my name is Steve,

can i please draw your attention to a sad situation, in Campello and surrounding districts there are 50+ families and children who are going hungry. in this day and age it should not happen but it is, i am making an appeal on behalf of Emmanuel Alicante and the Campello Christian Community,  please scour your cupboards for any tins,jars,of food items that you wont use again also any toiletries that you dont need. i can not get round to you so Please help me by bringing any items to the following....  (to give is a blessing)

Thursday 11th @  Pepes bar.   ava Almadraba Campello  between 11.15 -- 12.15. or

 Friday 12th @ Che Jose (ex carvery restaurant) Al kabir.  

please give what you can to feed a family if you want to give a donation then it will be turned into food, thank you for reading this post and hopefully i will meet some new people.

Does anyone know of someone who would assist my husband and myself in the process of joining the scheme.We live in Campello. We have gone through the procedure before, two years ago and posted the forms but didn't proceed as I started work and didn't need it. Would prefer to go in person to Alicante as it took two to three months last time before we heard anything and we need medical by July as my sip runs out then.

Can anyone advise on the best place to buy lemon and lime trees. Most of the ones we have seen so far do not seem to be so healthy.

Hi, I noticed a reference to an English butcher in El Campello in a post about the ex-pat ladies organisation run by Martine. I would be grateful if anyone knows his, or their, location(s), as I have been a bit puzzled by the different cuts of meat here. Thanks  Alex.

Hello again.  Latest says same rules apply for Phase 0 and 1 in that people from the same household can travel together in their car, within their province. However, it then says going to a supermarket should only be the driver with no passenger. What am I missing about "applies equally"? Can I and my wife drive to Carrefour together or not? Alex.

We live just outside El Campello in Cala Piteris. Today's news is that the area is still in Phase 0 on Monday, unlike further North. Does anyone know if it is OK for 2 people to travel up to Altea on Tuesday, which will then be in Phase 1?

The last 2 gas bills we received were literally 4 times the gas we used when we were in our holiday home at Christmas.  Having initiated the whole 'reclamacion' on their website (with the help of Google translate), it seems that they insist on having the ACTUAL reading... As we don't live there permanently, a neighbour kindly took a photo of our gas counter and sent it to me.

For anyone else who has gas bills: 

1. How do you manage to actually post the information on their website: I've spent the last week getting error messages that the photo was too big (not more than 256mb and it was 445kb), times out with the 'captcha' thing et.

2. Their YoLeoGas app isn't compatible with my mobile phone.

3. Their telephone number where you can call in the reading, is only in Spanish and whilst I can vaguely get an understanding of what they are saying very quickly, it's not that obvious to me how you put in the NIE, meter reading etc.

I've had numerous email exchanges with the company - who keep pointing me to the same 3 options -- and I keep responding with all the problems with all 3 options and one week later I'm none the wiser!

When I naively thought I'd actually managed to upload the number - it was rejected because seemingly that number is lower than the 'bill'!!

Would be grateful if anyone can advise as it is driving me literally crazy!
