Myself & my husband Steve have our temporary residency visas, issued by Spanish embassy in Manchester UK.

We have until October to gain our Padron and then our TIE.

We had an appointment at the Town Hall in Denia but on arrival were told we needed to apply in Gata as we are living there at my sons' address which is in Gata de gorgos. Is this information correct? Please help.thanks.

Hi All

I am currently buying a house on gata residential and I am looking to moving to Spain in the future since Brexit the rules have changed a bit I have seen different figures on what your monthly income has to be to be accepted for residencia.Does anyone know the exact rules as I will be coming with my pension and possibly working.one figure I've seen is you have to be post a monthly income of 2500 euros a month into your bank account which I thought was very high as the cost of living is lower than the uk. This figure seems more like a figure to live in the uk. Many thanks Shaun

Not only are Holabank increasing their account maintenance charges but they are demanding 50euros for giving me a debit card. They want to effectively charge me for getting access to my money (which they are already making money on) !

Can anyone recommend a Spanish bank suited to the needs of a non resident? I need one where I can communicate in English and that will switch my direct debits for me as I can’t come to Spain myself whilst there are Covid travel restrictions.

Ant thoughts or experiences will be much appreciated!
