Hi can anyone help me ..I have just been to San Juan Town Hall  to pay my car taxes and I was met instantly by hostility by a member of staff ..others around her said nothing as she berating me for my lack of Spanish and telling me I need a translater all in perfect English!!! Another guy tried to help me and was doing OK until this woman started again telling me I was no longer registered in Spain as a resident and started on about us leaving the EU and I  have to reregister as a resident .. I ended up walking out so upset and haven't paid my car  taxes 

Hello All,   My husband and I moved from  to Valencia in March from Wilmington,  North Carolina,  USA in March. After 5 days there,   in our month long Airbnb,  we took a trip to a Alicante and as soon as we stepped out of the train station we know the Alicante area would be our permanent home.  We have settled in the Playa San Juan area and would love to join an Expat meet-up group in the area to socialize  and make friends.  We also like to venture into Alicante for shopping,  drinks and dinner, so meeting people there would also be desirable.
