I.m in caixa bank and have put money in my account and have been charged 15 euro each time is this a new charge its says precio abano i sent the money from uk.

Hi Ken

We are in the middle of an extensive reform currently, we have paid many, even the same tradesman, before and none have incurred charges before. The tradesman went to his bank and queried the charge, they refunded it. To be sure from now on we will be paying all our tradesman with our Spanish Santander account from now.

If you are non res as I am the the Wise account is brilliant.

Top exchange rates, no monthly running costs, direct debits and the capability of receiving/sending money in up to 40 different currencies.

Have a look, no need for a Spanish bank account if you are non res, Wise does it all.

I have never been charged 1c by Caxia for that.
Similarly my UK pension is transferred into Caxia each month but as it comes in Euros there is no charge for receiving it.

Remitly is excellent for transferring money uk to spain

The problem is not even if its sterling, you can also be charged if you are sending EURO's but it comes from outside the EEA. I also use a Wise account to get around this.

Is it easy to use wise bank,i will have to use it has my bank is charging me now .it,s been free for the last 16 years but now have only in the last 2 weeks.
