Why can't the blue beret brigade have their own Brexit thread where they can bang on about Brexit all the time?

I couldn't agree more - a 'closed' discussion group for those who want to regularly blame Spain for a situation it didn't create and had no control over 👍

But the UK voted for Brexit - it chose to leave the club.  Spain isn't "punishing" Brits, it's simply applying the same rules that it applies to all Third country Nationals - a status that Brexiteers voted for themselves.

Read my previous posts. I definitely didnt agree with Brexit, hence I became resident before. UK can only blame themselves for the predicament and feel hard done too. My point is the EU are not going to make it easy in order to deter other countries.

It strikes me that the main people against UK leaving EU are people who have taken up residency in Spain and originally living in UK ,which brings me to the conclusion that had UK not voted to leave EU ,residency applications   to Spain from UK would have been much fewer ,

Over 16 million voted against it, most people now see it was a bad idea, anyway enjoy the sunshine.

...nytime for that

Nope I just check the opinion polls, I watch my team every week on a live stream, the only benefit of covid, I was a season ticket holder for 30 years and did 90% of away games.

Agreed. Having spent 250,000 to live in Spain 16 years ago after retirement we decided to move to Spain earlier.

Not a big fan of opinion polls ,I suppose if you took the poll in Scotland where there was a majority of those who voted to remain in EU you would probably get a poll result saying Brexit wasnt working ,although after less than 4months since leaving it would be a bold statement to make ,if you went to an area where there had been a majority of voters for leave ,you would probably get a different reaction .Spain is certainly no Shangri La ,I've had to deal with Spanish utility companies in the past and you're wrong when you're right ,definitely hard to swallow for me

Not only did 16 million vote against but no doubt there would have been plenty who would have voted against in Spain, but they were ineligible to vote as not on the voting register.
