Hi All,
I’m hoping to rent a place in Alicante for a year next year as I need to be close to the UK to help look after my parents.
Has anyone been successful in obtaining a Non Lucrative Residency Permit?
If so, any information you have would be very much appreciated.

The non lucrative visa is not a residency permit but a visa which allows you to apply for residency, that's a big difference.
If you are lucky enough to be granted a non lucrative visa you will need to apply for residency within 3 months of receiving your NLV. You will be limited to the amount of time allowed away from Spain within the first and consecutive years.

All the information you need is contained in these links but remember the Visa must be applied for at one of three Spainish Consulates in the UK, London, Manchester or Edinburgh. It cannot be applied for in Spain:
