Hi everyone!

This is Jean. I’ve seen some of you have asked for advice on home insurance at some point.

Well, here’s my recommendation ! It’s an international home insurance called LUKO.

It is a digital insurance, so all the processes are easily done through the App. The quotes are personalized (you can calculate yours in a couple of minutes on their website) and it’s not binding, you can unsubscribe when you want to from your phone.  Also, their website is both in Spanish and English and they speak English. I've been using it for quite a long time and I'm happy with the service.

I hope this helps.

Unable to comment. Before making any dexcision I need their "General Terms and Conditions" which I couldn't find on their website. Also it is not clear to me whether that company is authorized to act as in insurer in Spain or only as an agent/ reseller. This can become imortant for possible legal claim settlements.

Hi killjoy,

I don't if you entered their website but the general terms and conditions are at the bottom, next to the logo, it says "general terms and conditions", and there you can find also the "Insurance information documents" and legal information. I did some research and they actually distribute insurances of the French insurance Wakam (it's also on their website). Hope this helps :)

Hi Jean,

Many thanks for your recommendation.  Generally, I think the relative quality of insurance companies depends on how they deal with claims - what has been your experience please?

Kind regards,

Kim

Hi Kim,

I can only speak from my personal experience, but I did have a water damage last October and opened a claim. The process was quite fast, I uploaded the photos in the application, an expert came to see the damage and they repaired both the damage caused and the pipe repair. Of course I guess each case is different but that was my experience.

Kind regards
