Best location to buy property which is situated near international schools

Hi All

I'm new to the group. I'll just give you a quick backstory before i jump straight to my question :)

My husband, 2 children and I currently live and work in Qatar (teachers)- our plan was to live out here for 4 years, save and then buy a 3 bed house in Spain ( Costa Blanca way- we especially like the Alicante area) near international schools and then move there....However, we have had to push our time scale back a bit as I am now pregnant with TWINS!!

So our criteria has changed, we are looking to buy within the next 18 months ( with the idea of renting it primarily), same area but a 5 bedroom house - still near international schools so we can get jobs. What I need to know really is what specific locations have a thriving british community so we can settle and where we can make friends with other families quite easily. Currently, we live in a compound with a shared pool and have a lovely local community where my children can play and my husband and I have a solid network of friends. Seems a big ask but really we're looking for the same kind of feel.

Any help, advice and experiences any of you would like to share is most welcome.

Try La Torre golf resort area good school Roldán Murcia lovely community.

Gran Alacant, near to airport, Alicante city, internationals schools in Alicante and Elche. Very mixed community of Spanish, UK, Swedes, Norwegians, Irish etc..

My honest opinion the best place to live is Alicante city. There's a place gran via, my kids go to school there ,its a new area massive shopping centre, school, college. I live in the city center. Everything's is on hand , tram bus station ,airport mountain and beach.I lived in the ex- pat areas , didn't suit me. I like to live in Spain.!!! Gran Via is a new area. Have a look on idealists.
