Hi everyone,

I am in the process of getting my NIE & residency to stay here longer than 90 days.
I am French and my husband is New Zealander. We are hoping to get a family reunion residency for him to stay here.

as we are short of time we went through a lawyer who’s asking €150 each for NIE & €100 each to register at the council. Do you think it’s a fair price ?

Not sure how much she’ll ask for residency but if you know any who speak English I’d be very greatful :)

thanks a lot !

Look for a Gestoria, they will do the same thing for less.

Hey, we are similar, husband Irish, and I’m from Uk and hope to get residency through our marriage. Solicitor quoted €500 to get Brian his Pardon and residency and said €800 for me after. After talking to someone on this forum we used his Gestor, speaks English, who advised on Pardon for free, we got it ourselves in Santa Pola, and is advising on Brian’s residency for €50 which includes organising the appointment and attending with him in 21st of this month in Orihuela. But he’s also answered loads of our questions  on a  variety of topics for free. Not paid anything as yet. Happy to pass on his details by PM or if you want to wait until after our residency appointment, we can tell you how he helped with that. Thanks

Hi,

thank you so much for your reply :)

That seemed like a lot of money ! I’d love to get in touch with your gestor.

I’ve heard so many different requirement as for residency. Like money in the bank account & health cover. What are the requirements for you ?

Thank you so much for your help

Someone told us we need 14 000€ on our account and pay for a whole year in advance of health care (about 1000€).

Is it what your heard or your requirement ?

thanks a lot :)

Yes, you do need combined savings. Can’t find the correct link to confirm 100% but I thought it was around €12,700 for two people and yes, we need to get health insurance, our Gestor gave us a contact and we’ve been quoted €1500, upfront payment for year, which people on here thought reasonable for a mid 50s & 40s couple.

It's not a pardon, it's a padron. That proves that you live where you live.
