Hi,

I got call from Alicante City Police department at 1 AM in night, I was not able to receive it, next morning I got call from Berlin Police station that iphone that was stolen from me was found in Alicante and they called Berlin police to inform me as my number was showing in screen when phone is switched on. When I called back on number which I got call they told its standard charted bank number. It will be helpful if someone can give me email id or process how to contact police department

I am based in Berlin so cant come down now to collect my iphone in person.

Thanks

Aman Jaiswal

Problems are distance, language, and the way things are handled here. Your cellphone is most probably held at the Lost & Found of Alicante Townhall. In order to recover it you will have to show up and prove ownership. If you appoint a representative, a POA  is required set up by a notary public and legalized with the Hague Apostille. Said POA must then be accompanied by a sworn translation. A Ryanair flight to Alicante might be cheaper, faster and a lot less complicated.
