Mmm. I certainly do not wish to contradict Killjoy, because
he has gone through the process, but his information is erroneous, though he is
correct in that a gestor should become involved. However, they will normally
only become active after a car has passed the ITV (MOT). Very few cars have a Certificate
of Conformity issued by the manufacturer, normally an engineer’s report is
produced in lieu. The timescales for tax exemption is equally not correct
The process is fraught with bureaucracy, which is easily
handled by a specialist, especially now that UK registered cars (but not this EU
Croatian car) will have to go through Customs
