Steve, I'm with you about thinking of booking a suitcase for my wife when she next goes back to Scotland. I can easily fill a case with things I want that I can't get out here - either because companies won't deliver, or because of their delivery charges. Apart from anything else, the next returning suitcase will contain a couple of bottles of Islay malt!

From 1st November, unless you pay for priority boarding with Ryanair (£5 per person), you won't be able to take your wheelie bag (up to 55cm x 40cm x 20cm) into the cabin. They will be taken from you at the gate and placed in the hold (free of charge).
You will only be allowed a smaller bag, like a handbag (35cm x 20cm x 20cm), on board....

However, they have increased the hold luggage from 15kg to 20kg and reduced the price from £35 to £25.
That is so much better than having to take your hand luggage in to the cabin.
let other people push and pull their hand luggage on the plane, we will be able to breeze on with just small bags Yipee!

Hi Andyb,
You are right Andy, every little does help, especially value when you are flying. A lot of the airline companies are offering good value now. Jim, many moons ago I spent two week on the island of Islay, What an incredible place. It was there I first came across the SNP when one of the issues was that the price of a dram in the local was dearer than the mainland.
