Shred important documents

Hi There,

Does anyone now were in Altea or near by were you can shred important documents

Given how often I think we all are likely to receive documents that we may wish to shred, I'd be tempted to pick up a shredder off Amazon/Ebay for maybe 30 Euros.

Most shredders nowadays can also shred plastic so if you ever need to get rid of credit cards etc you can do that with them as well.

For example:

I put them in water till soaked then scrunch them up tight and leave to dry. You could put bleach or so in the water for added effectiveness.

If all else fails eg buying a cheap shredder, I'm pretty sure a Gestor or Notary would do this for a small fee. That might seem a bit over the top but it depends on the number of documents and the information that needs deleted.

We bought a small shredder years ago, not much bigger in size than a large box folder, it's still going strong. It will shredder a few pages at a time and takes up to A4. We used to shred quite a bit at one time but with online statements, incoices, etc there is little left to shred these days.

As George55 pointed out you can get fairly cheap models for not that much, then you can shred whenever you want! The Amazon Basics paper shredder is recmmended by Which magazine, you can buy the same model in Spain for 36euro.
