Hi I'm looking to re-locate my family from Ireland to Spain and information you can help me with is really appreciated. My husband is a painter /decorator for over 30 years and interested in working maybe part time or investing in a local business. My youngest is 13 and special needs so I'm confused on schooling as off his age I want him to attend mainstream school with additional support in some subjects.. I understand we will pay property tax yearly and we own our home in Ireland so how long would it take for us to purchase a house and do I use my own solicitor in Ireland by doing this and with who the seller or estate agent.. Sorry for all the questions good thing is we are returning to benidorm in October so hoping to get as much information as possible and hopefully meet up with agents then. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my requests ❤️

Are you looking at an international (private) school for your son, where the teaching is in English? Or a Spanish state school, where the teaching will be in Spanish and Valenciano?

You will need to find an international school (private/cost) for your boy. Dropping a SEN child into a state foreign speaking school would be a definite no.

Budget around 800e per month for this.

As you are Irish there are no initial dramas around visa etc

Hiya I'm looking at English speaking school. I've booked to fly back over in October to meet up with estate agents and schools.

Good luck. Like I say to anyone... coming to live in Spain is a dream for those who have enough money or don't need to work.

Those coming out expecting to earn enough money to sustain living in Spain are usually the ones who struggle.
