Hi Russ,
The cheapest way to get to the airport is by bus, though it is not the fastest!
From Pilar de Horadada bus station, you can get a bus to Torrieveja bus station, (journey about one hour). Then a bus from there to the airport (journey about one hour). Buses are usually about one every hour.
