Order online and buy packets of Rat poison. We had mice earlier this week and trap after trap were set but never caught any of them. I finally took advice and bought the rat bait. Little blue granules set in areas that you believe your rodents are entering. This was the only way to rid ourselves of them. These little blighters are becoming trap wise. I wish you all the luck in the world in ridding yourself of rats. A living nightmare.

Dead right.. clever little baskets..very wary of old fashioned sprung traps...but if you manage to get one bait it with peanut butter wrapped around dental floss..stops it getting taken from the trap unsprung...good luck..

Not fancy just getting a cat? Lol
Much better than a cat a Yorkshire Terrier, that was what they were bred for catching rats in the Yorkshire mills.

Its not, with a cat they have a chance to run away and will die quicker not starve to death unable to move

Please tell me it was outside and not in your house. I’m glad you caught it but there may be others. Keep setting that clever trap. A very good tip

It was in a void space above the kitchen cupboards that the cooker extractor pipe runs through and also the waste pipe from the upstairs bathroom !!!! All entry holes in the concrete now successfully blocked with wire mesh and to be back filled with plaster / foam - special mention to builder Steve Corney (previously mentioned on this Forum) for quickly coming round to do the work within 24 hours of asking - top bloke, based in Villamartin if anyone is looking for any building work etc.
