Been looking for a short break in January in Hondon de las Nieves and some one I know sugested Benferri.

Does any one outthere have any input on this area?

What kind of thing are you looking to do on your break?

Benferri is a very quiet little village with limited amenities.

There is a restaurant, a couple of bars, a sports centre, a small Spar shop, a pharmacy and a couple of banks.

I was in Benferri today, this is not the place to be if you are looking for a short break, noting to see, nothing to do, pubs are cheap though.

Not good holiday spot.

We are in the process of relocating and retiring to the Costa Blanca and searching for areas to purchase our dream villa in the sun, has anyone got good or bad opinions on Benferri? we are still fit & active and have our own car so half an hour to the coast no problem at all.

any advise would be great.

My post above gives an indication of Benferri, there is also a doctors surgery once you are registered.

We have been here 15 months now having only visited once to view the house and we are loving it, the people here are so friendly.

Everything you could ever need is about a 25 min drive including Murcia, shopping malls etc. and the local San Nicolas supermarket is about 3km away.

Hello, Benferri seems a strange option to me and 30 minutes to the coast may be a tad optimistic, even in winter. Basically half hour´s drive to anything significant, other posters saying nothing there, background hum of the A7, everyone to their own and if you like it it´s nobody else´s business.

Sorry Cheryl you are wrong with some of your facts.

There is no ‘background hum’ from the A7 and Orihuela is a 10 min drive and as I visit the coast regularly the drive does only take 30 mins, obviously dependent on traffic

Nueva Condomina is only a 20 min drive for all the shopping anyone would require.

This is a very quiet village anyone wanting noisy pub culture would be very disappointed.
