Vaccination does not stop Covid it prevents some of lung problems if caught. Its the damage to lungs that are the main concern.

Within 3 weeks of vaccine can still be infected and be a carrier.  There is no freedom ticket to travel yet as much as we all got excited before xmas about the vaccine. Scientists want to completely eradicate the virus may take years.  Can download certificate to prove have had vaccine ...

...not sure where could be the gva.es.

Had AZ vaccine on Wednesday, some side effects be warned tinnitus, rushing in ears, aching and high pulse rate. Would suggest a oximeter to keep an eye on levels and visit clinic if pulse rate gets too high, Mine went upto 106  took ibuprofen and it came down by the evening and I felt much better. Some chills although could be the weather.

Fatigue and malaise have set in.  Not sure will get 2nd shot.

Thank you I do understand and I'm glad you are feeling better now. I've had the pffeizer and due my second dose soon. I only had a sore arm for about a week so was lucky with that one. I know lots of people who had the AZ one and some were extremely sick with it and others like my daughter got nothing at all not even a sore arm so thinking it may be an individual thing. Boris is saying he may allow travel around mid may but obviously we can then only go to countries that are open to us snd with all the right paperwork etc. I just feel that we being homeowners should be treated a little better by the Spanish government if we can prove we are vaccinated and free of covid at the time of travel which is what the pcr test is for as we do pay our suma run our car buy petrol and shopping and in our case employ a Spanish citizen on a regular part time basis we should be able to come to our homes at least to maintain them and check they are ok. Our car needs an itv and service. All these things are a worry. Three years ago we had an electrical fire in our property and was left with just a shell. No one even noticed the fire until it was too late as we are remote so it plays on my mind and quite honestly as much as I love Spain and my home I am thinking of selling as it's just too difficult now to enjoy it. Also we've gone back to that 90 day thing thanks to certain people making us leave the EU so all in all it may be time to say adios

Just to support Camelias comment above . Yes , and it rarely gets reported , Viruses do not kill in themselves it is our bodies immune response to invasive viruses of all kinds that determine how ill a person will be after infection. That is why some people show no symptoms and others get very ill and sadly die usually from pneumonia or 3rd part organ failure particulary lung failure - it is in effect our own immune systems going into overdrive that cause the issues, people with underlying health conditions are more likely to have a weakened immune response - the strength or weakness of an immune system is largely genetic supported by a healthy lifestyle etc. The vaccines prevent the virus from establishing itself by interfering with the protein keys on their surface and as such they lose the ability to replicate and spread, they do not prevent infection in itself - vaccinated people on the whole can still catch Covid but wont spread it or suffer from its symptoms.

Camellia, side effects are evidence that the vaccine is working in your body, please ensure that you get the second vaccination. It’s the only way forward to get on top of the virus. What are a few side effects for a day or two that can be helped by paracetamol or ibuprofen compared to full blown Covid? If vaccine passports are introduced, you won’t be able to travel unless you’ve had the vaccine. Hope you’re feeling better now
