Hey guys. I’m 19 , I’m from near Birmingham in the UK. I moved to benidorm around 15 months ago. I literally have no friends at all around my age (18-25) was just wondering if there was anyone else here the same or if anyone has any ideas for me? I work in a bar and come across a lot of tourists and locals but I want a friend hahahah

Hi mate, sorry l can't help you on that topic as I'm an old codger (to you, I'm a young 65... at least that's what l tell myself) and still in blighty.

The way things are going here I've had enough and am thinking of moving there also.

So, you're probably working when your age group is socialising and that can't help to meet up new mates in your age group.

No doubt some residents there will give you some good advice so count yourself lucky.

Me, first l need to get info on accommodation, single guy, wife passed away 3.5 years now. Have You any advice on that matter for me?

No matter, like anything else you'll bump into pals as you go along. Good luck.

Hello! Bless you thank you for taking the time to reply. I’m glad you consider yourself a young 65 because you’re only as old as you feel. I’m really sorry to hear about the passing of your wife god bless her. if you’re looking at moving here I’d suggest maybe taking a look online around benidorm for long let apartments. I’d come for 3 months and test the waters (you’re aloud to stay for 90 days legally) you might find that you find an area you fall in love with. My mom came here with the thoughts of moving to benidorm. She stayed in benidorm for a while and found a little town called la Cala fell in love and has been here ever since. So I decided to join her. Hope you’re keeping well and my advise kind of helps. Take care.

Jaybee1....If you are thinking of living here in Benidorm you really should look into it before Dec 31st as when Brexit is finalised it will be more difficult to gain legal residency and you may not be able to get UK funded healthcare.

Read "Jim's Guides" that can be found in the drop down list of the menu on the left hand side of the page. The guide are full of information that will be useful to you.

Conniehem........If you get hold of any free paper or the paid for Costa Blanca news you should find a section relating to clubs to join in the local area. Otherwise with me being in the same category as Jaybee1 I can't suggest "places to go" for your age range.

Hi,

Jaybee's post is almost 3 years old now. I've not seen her on the forum since then.

To get a better response to your post perhaps start a new thread.
