...ts at Alicante we will not be going ,can anyone please advise on the latest situation at Alicante.

I left Alicante Airport on 22/4 and surprised to see the long queue which we waited an hour this was due to Passport Control being managed manually by one person due to system failure…

Arrived at Alicante early yesterday morning, no problems at all. Passport stamped without any delay and straight through.

Sadly, on leaving the North East, delayed for 30 minutes at Newcastle through lack of staff. They also announced that the airport would close early at night (around 2100), as there were not enough Control Tower staff!

The staffing levels seems to be a real problem presently at most UK airports.
