Those are drops on a hot stone. Every day some 300 illegally enter Spain by boat accreoss the trait of Gibraltar or climbing the walls of Ceuta and Melilla.

and how many of they die (weekly-monthly-yearly) trying to reach these EU golden shores from the continent ?
Many, many more than trying to cross the la manche
The ones reported in the news normally have money and have been here for years

And your point is? Just look at the number entering the UK illegally on a daily basis.

There really is no need for your rude comment. My understanding of the original post is to make folk aware that the EU will act on those who are here (EU) illegally. After all, that was one of the main factors for the UK leaving the EU to take back control of its borders - not that it is doing a good job of it.

Your right John, with a significant proportion coming in through the EU, travelling across the Schengen area from country to country unchecked.
