Recommended trusted solicitor
Can anyone recommend an advisor or a solicitor to help myself and partner apply for a NLV. Been in touch with one based in Spain but unsure if there're genuine. Want one someone has used.

You have to apply initially for the NLV yourself at the Spanish consulate in the UK. Applications via a third party will not be accepted.

Thanks Steve, want to make sure that we have the right documentation in place before making an appointment with consulate.

Hi Ray,
Just a comment about Steve1686's guide to applying for an NLV. He refers to paying his Spanish solicitor to help with the "second stage" of the process - this is a reference to obtaining the TIE (Tarjeta de Identidad de Extranjera), or Residency card. Assuming that you're granted NLVs, you have 3 months to move to Spain and 1 month from arrival here to submit your application for a TIE. As Steve1686 suggested, a lawyer can do this for you, but a competent gestoria could also do it at lower cost, so nearer the time it would be worth you asking for recommendations in your area.
Kind regards,
Kim

Thank you so much for the information that's a great help
Hi, we used Aldertons based in North Costa Blanca. We were going to buy there but decided to buy in South costa blanca instead but we still went to them with help in getting our visa. They are so helpful, we visited their office in November after meeting them at a place in the sun show. They advised us on what we needed to do and they sort out filling in forms and make apt at the Consulate for you. We collect our visa next week and we have bought a villa in Guardamar Del Segura. We are very happy with their service. They will also sort out our TIE apt when we get over there. Here is the link to their office. We dealt with Emma. https://www.aldertons.es/
Hope that helps - Brenda
