If you look around on this site you will see many helpful tips and links on how to move to Spain in general and to Benidorm in particular.

The are posts on what is required depending on where you are from, how much you will need to prove assets, if you need your own healthcare depending on your age and circumstances.

There are posts on if Benidorm is a good place to move to, how much you will expect to pay for rentals and so on.  What you need to do legally, if you require a visa or not (will depend on your nationality and passport). There are also many recommendations for solicitors, estate agents (plus ones to avoid) and which areas are more suitable depending if you want to be with people of your own nationality or a more Spanish area. What places have good public transport and, just as important, which ones have not.

Look through the previous posts, use the search function and, when you have some pointers on assistance, then see if your many questions will be answered depending on your circumstances.

It really is a very helpful site but you need to provide some information to get the answers you want. Moving to Spain will be very dependant on your individual requirements. And most will already have been answered especially as we get 4 or 5 posts on moving to Spain every week.

Thank you for your prompt reply.

I have looked around the site quite a lot. What I am seeking is "a one to go to" company for when, and if , I find a suitable apartment I will need advice and assistance, if I don't want to wind up with egg on my face. If I am not made aware of all the procedures, regulations and conditions of moving to Benidorm there could be consequences.

Once again thank you.

Firstly if you are getting a non lucrative visa you will initally need to apply yourself at the Spanish consulate in the UK.

I live in Benidorm so if you have specific questions about benidorm I will try to answer you in an honest manner.

To retire here with a uk passport you will need an income of 28,800 euros per annum and full healthcare.

If you do not hold EU/EEA passport you will require a visa to live and work in Spain. Visas must be applied for at the nearest Spanish Consulate to your current location. This link will explain how to obtain a visa:

The link below will provide you an idea of the current rental prices and properties available:

A couple of websites that may have some answers to many of your question are as follows:

Citizens Advice Bureau Spain for bureaucratic stuff.

N332 for anything to do with driving in Spain.   Their website, and their Facebook page, is for English speaking people and has an English version of the Spanish equivalant of the Highway Code on it.

Hello Janiceroquero,

A company that has the facilities to guide you, advise you, explain the rules & regulations of moving to Spain. This is to ensure one doesn't fall foul of the law and understands the complexities of their intention to move to Spain. Obviously a fee would be involved but I would be far more assured knowing that I have set off on the right foot.

Regards, Steve

Ok. In this case that would be the Spanish Consulate in the country where you live.

Cheers, J
