Hi all. I’m a regular visitor to Benidorm and I’ve read lots of things that you can no longer do in Benidorm without being fined and 1 was you are no longer allowed to smoke on the beach without a large fine. Is this true and does it apply to all of the beaches in Benidorm? If it’s true have they set aside a smoking area on the beaches? I’m disabled and if this is true it’s really going to spoil my holidays and I might have to reconsider where I holiday.

Smoking is banned on Benidorm beaches.

Even says dress appropriately, how do you do that on a beach? I also do think it's sad someone cancels a holiday because they can't smoke on the beach.

Thanks but I spoke to the Spanish Tourist Board earlier and they said it’s only banned on 1 beach which name I can’t remember now but it’s on the outskirts of Benidorm. She said this has all been blown up by the press. However if I have been advised wrongly can you send me something official where it states that you can’t smoke on Levante beach.
