Just moved to Benidorm from UK and looking to make some new friends to hang out, have coffee and maybe practice a bit of spanish. Not working so day time meets would be a particular interest. I am living off La Playa de Poniente.
Hi there. My name is David and I am still living in Glasgow UK, I am a truck driver and I am madly saving up all my money to retire to Benidorm asap. I am also wanting to make and have to have friends in Benidorm. I want to retire to near Benidorm hopefully this year in 2023 or 2024. I am a male 62 just now, 63 next month and at this time I am working hard & saving up all my money towards retiring to maybe Armanello Camping site or maybe Raco which is just outside Benidorm.
In the future it will be nice to have a friend for to meet up in Benidorm occationally for a drink or a coffee and a chat.
Past many years I have holidayed in Benidorm and I was there only 3 months ago in Armanello Camping site for 10 days. I absolutely love Benidorm hence again my wanting to retire there. I have one of these E Scooters which is still illegal to use in the UK at this time, but it is legal in Benidorm so I will be bringing it with me when it is time to come to Benny. I also have a petrol Scooter (Kawasaki J300)
And I intend to bring that also to Benny.

Hope your dream comes true to live in Benny, it might be worth reading up rules and regulations for non EU citizens, to live permanently in Spain, Apologies if you have an EU passport or have read the rules

If you have a UK passport you will need to apply for a non lucrative visa from the Spanish consulate in the UK before you can move over to Spain permanently. You will need to meet the income and healthcare requirements. You will need an income of around €28000 per annum from pensions etc and full healthcare either by private or through the S1 healthcare scheme.
You can't just move to Spain permanently without a visa.

I am an Irish citizen and at this time I am applying for my Irish passport, Wall sorted.

You will still need to register with the national police and sign the foreigners register within the first 90 days of arrival. You still need to prove an income and healthcare.
