To whom it may concern, I'm looking for a care position in Domiciliary care or residential care, I have 4 years experience with a clean transferable DBS, I have my NIE NUMBER and also my own car, references will not be a problem, I have been trained in hoists and standaids and have no issues with personal care,  regards steve Taylor

While I wish you the best in finding work in your area of expertise you would need to to register for tax and insurance at the INSS and Agencia Tributaria, ideally have a working knowledge of Spanish, while you are undoubtedly well qualified you would need to contact your local Town Hall ( Ayuntamiento ) and submit your qualifications to Social Services ( Servicios Sociale ) to ensure you are qualified to carry out this work in Spain, also it is likely that a Police Check would need to be carried out as you would be working with vulnerable clients.

Thanks for replying back so soon, I have bought my DBS certificate from the UK which is open to see for any employee to see online, this will tell them that I have no criminal record also the Spanish police are more than happy to look at it, hoping for a employee not self employed, many thanks Steve Taylor

I think anything you bring  to submit to a prospective employer, police, social services  or ayuntamiento  etc. would also  need  to be translated   into  Spanish

Thank you for your advice, I'm using local solicitors for my residency and my car transfer so I shall mention this to them, regards Steve

Please Ray, tell us of these stories you speak about carers from the UK working on the black and taking advantage of vulnerable people. Links please.

Guarantee there are more from Latin America and South America than Brits.

The best option would be to arrive in Benidorm with everything you have from the island translated and go to every agency that has been mentioned plus others that have not been; in person. European companies are not very good at replying to emails.

This is an actual job that you might get due to the ageing population and this virus killing the previous workers but not through an email unless through an international employment agency.

Good luck.....

It's just a story Ray. For all you or I know the daughter could be involved.

You never mentioned police involvement so it is from one person's account to another or another n on n on...

It is still a very good and available line of work worldwide but actually being in the search location and speaking (even hello, goodbye and do u speak English) the language of the country were the work is wanted will boost anyone's chance. If he is searching for an only English speaking environment then ?????

Good evening, unfortunately there is the same problem in the UK, vulnerable people are being exploited financially, personally and mentally abused but a lot of the time it's family members doing this, I have my police check from back home where I could work In a school, prison and with vulnerable adults, these cases are not the normal, people who  go Into this this Industry do generally care about other people, and yes I hope admin would take the post down if a certain race was mentioned, unfortunately there are people who take advantage of all races, regards Steve
